Mr. Guerra has watched as the internet destroyed or forced many insurance brokers to
lose the greater part of their business. He knows that we have do-nothing politicians who have stood by and allowed the insurance
companies to use and take advantage of the struggling independent insurance broker. Only those agencies doing millions
of dollars in business have been able to survive. The small independent brokers are falling by the wayside.
Many brokers have joined organizations that sell them insurance and talk very convinceingly
regarding how much they're doing for their members. But, the proof is in the pudding. They have done nothing, or very little,
to help the independent brokers and agents who are finding it more and more difficult to meet their expenses and provide
for their families. Someone must help them or they will be forced to leave their profession.
More and more auto insurors are advertising and they are taking away a tremendous amount
of business from insurance agents and independent brokers. Most of these insurors do not use agents or brokers. All, or most
of their business is done on line. They have made it so easy for the consumer to purchase every kind of insurance on
line... and for less! There is no way the "little guy" can compete! When AIG was using agents and brokers, they were selling
on line as well. And, the insurance they sold on line was the same product their agents and brokers sold. However, those who
purchased by going on the internet paid less, and, they received additional benefits for making their purchase on line. Progressive
Insurance gives those who purchase insurance on line an additional discount. How can the agent or independent broker compete
if this is the case? They cannot!
You cannot fight what's going on in the insurance industry yourself! It takes a great deal of time
and money! Right now many of you are paying a great deal of money to be a member of organizations that are not helping
